Questions
How do I gain DCP faster?
Use repeatable enemy routes, reduce travel and recovery downtime, and spend points on skills you will equip. The DCP guide separates practical efficiency from unsupported multiplier claims.
What carries into New Game Plus?
Character progression, learned abilities and most equipment carry over; story and quest progress reset. Check the NG+ guide before confirming, especially for quest items and collectible-related riddles.
Can a hired Mage heal?
Yes. Anodyne is a Mage core healing action. Chirurgeon concerns item use and is not the unlock for Mage healing; normal healing does not restore the full loss gauge.
How do I cure Dragonsplague?
Use Dragonsbaulk Draught according to its in-game tutorial and handle suspected infection before resting. The Dragonsplague guide covers symptoms and fallback precautions.
Is there romance or marriage?
Affinity and dedicated relationship scenes exist, including Ulrika and Wilhelmina. This is not a conventional marriage system; a high affinity outcome is not a marriage unlock.
What is the Brine?
It is the force that engulfs characters in deep water. Treat deep water as a hazard, not as a swimming route; shallow wading is different.
Is there an unlimited Ferrystone?
The June 10, 2026 update added the Eternal Ferrystone, obtained through the Brant/Seat of the Sovran progression described in the fast-travel guide. Portable and permanent Portcrystals are destinations, not the travel consumable.
Why does the first Seeker's Token matter?
Its location is the Finder's Token location for the Sphinx's Riddle of Rumination. Record the landmark before leaving; the riddle has a seven-day limit.
Can I rename or replace my main pawn?
Edit the main pawn through the supported character-editing features. Hiring another support pawn does not replace the identity or progression of the main pawn in that adventure.
Is Dark Arisen a new game?
The 2026 product is the DD2 expansion or a package containing it. The 2013 Dark Arisen expands the first game; they are different products.
Is there official multiplayer?
No. The official game is single-player with asynchronous pawn sharing. DD2gether is an unofficial alpha with its own installation and compatibility risks.
Where is my Steam save?
Under Steam/userdata/your-user-id/2054970/remote/win64_save. Back up the entire remote folder with the game closed before experimenting; the save-location guide covers Cloud conflicts.
