Start by protecting the save, then identify whether the problem is file corruption, an incompatible mod, low frame rate or a specific patched bug. A settings change is not a substitute for a clean unmodded launch test.
Three problems, three pages
Steam saves are under userdata/your-user-id/2054970/remote, separate from the installation folder. CAPCOM's 2 September update added three save slots and three save types per slot. Preserve the whole remote folder before changing files.

Start here
- Back up saves, note the selected character slot and let Steam Cloud finish syncing.
- For launch failures, disable mods through their manager and use Steam's Installed Files verification before testing again.
- For low FPS, test the same scene with frame generation disabled, then adjust one graphics option at a time.
- For changed controls or save behavior, read the 2 September, 7 September PlayStation-only and 16 October patch entries before assuming the save is damaged.

Where is the save file?
On the save-file page. Steam uses userdata, app 2054970, remote.
Where are the official graphics toggles?
Open Options, then Graphics. The 9 October patch lists FSR 3 frame generation, DLSS Super Resolution 4.5 and DLSS multi-frame generation on Steam.
