Privacy policy

This policy covers the static guides, Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and the optional YouTube player. Checked 17 October 2026: one measurement tag, one heatmap and session-replay tag, and no advertising script.

Who is responsible

The operator of dragonsdogma2.net is the contact for this policy. Email contact@dragonsdogma2.net. The site is a static guide. Pages are served as files. There is no account system and no form that stores a message on the server.

This policy was checked on 17 October 2026. When a third-party script is added, this page names it before the script ships: Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are named here on the day their tags shipped.

Scripts on the page

Two remote tags are configured. Google Analytics 4 is loaded as gtag.js from www.googletagmanager.com with measurement ID G-1KREB5EVV5, which counts page views on this domain. Microsoft Clarity is loaded from www.clarity.ms and scripts.clarity.ms with project id yywv89yghn, which records heatmaps and sampled session replays of how pages are used. Clarity writes its own first-party cookies, listed in the storage table below, and reports to the Microsoft Clarity collect endpoint. No AdSense unit, Adsterra invocation, or other advertising script is configured. A local Consent Mode v2 queue defaults ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, and analytics_storage to denied before the Google tag is configured, with ads_data_redaction enabled. Those four permissions remain denied even when embeds are allowed, so the Google tag measures without cookies and without a stored client identifier. No ad seller is in use, so no ads.txt seller line is published.

Microsoft Clarity masks sensitive content by default (form input and similar fields are not replayed), and the site leaves those masking settings on. Clarity is a Microsoft service: it receives the page URL, interaction events, and connection information such as your IP address and browser details. Because Clarity is a session-replay tool for this site's own pages, it is not an ad network and no ad personalization uses it.

YouTube (Google) loads only after you allow embeds and then press play. The privacy-enhanced player uses www.youtube-nocookie.com for Capcom USA's video lzLIb6UCYfo. Its observed dependent hosts include fonts.gstatic.com, ssl.gstatic.com, www.google.com, and jnn-pa.googleapis.com; YouTube can also use youtube.com, ytimg.com, googlevideo.com, and other googleapis.com subdomains for player assets and media. These are Google/YouTube services, not separate analytics vendors installed by this site. They receive connection information such as your IP address and browser details and may use their own storage. Before permission and a play click, the site makes no request to them. Rejecting later removes active players.

Storage this site sets

KeyWherePurposeRetention
dd2_consent_v1localStorageStores JSON with choice (accepted or rejected) and an ISO timestamp.180 days, then the banner can show again
_clckCookie, set by Microsoft Clarity on this domainStores the Clarity visitor id so repeat visits are counted once.1 year
_clskCookie, set by Microsoft Clarity on this domainJoins the page views of one visit into a single session recording.1 day

The site's own script sets no cookie; if you reject, the localStorage key is written so the banner stays dismissed. The Google tag is configured with analytics_storage denied, so it adds no row to this table. Clarity also sets cookies on Microsoft's own domains (CLID and MUID, on clarity.ms and bing.com), which you can remove with your browser's site-data controls.

Consent, GPC, and DNT

Allow embeds and Reject both write dd2_consent_v1. Cookie settings in every footer opens the same panel. Reject blocks new players and unloads any active player; it cannot recall information already sent while a player was enabled. Neither choice enables an ad tag or grants analytics storage: the Google tag stays cookieless under the denied default.

The Google tag and Microsoft Clarity load from the first page view, before you answer the banner, and this panel does not switch them off. Clarity keeps its masking of sensitive content on, and it does not receive anything you type into a form. To decline measurement you can block www.clarity.ms and *.clarity.ms in your browser or extension, which stops the tag without breaking the guides.

If navigator.globalPrivacyControl is true, the script stores rejected and disables Allow embeds. Do Not Track does not enable a tracker. The preference itself is necessary to remember your privacy choice; optional third-party players require your consent. If localStorage is unavailable, the page still works and keeps the choice only for that page visit.

Rights and opt-out links

You can ask what this policy says applies to you, ask for a correction of a factual page, or object to a future change, by emailing contact@dragonsdogma2.net. You can erase the stored choice yourself by clearing localStorage for this site. You can also complain to a supervisory authority where you live.

This site does not run personalized ads. For the optional player, Google's privacy policy and YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode documentation are linked in Sources.

Questions

Do you use cookies for ads?

No advertising script is loaded, and the site's own script sets no cookie. Google Analytics 4 is configured, but with analytics_storage denied it writes no analytics cookie. Microsoft Clarity sets two first-party cookies for its heatmap and session-replay data, _clck and _clsk, which are listed in the table above. The only other item stored in your browser is the localStorage key dd2_consent_v1.

Can I turn Clarity off?

Block www.clarity.ms and *.clarity.ms in your browser. Clarity also honours the opt-out in Microsoft's privacy dashboard, and it never records what you type into a form.

How long is the choice kept?

180 days from the timestamp inside dd2_consent_v1. After that the banner can appear again unless Global Privacy Control is on.
