Free updates are not the paid expansion
Six weapon-skill slots, the expanded save system and the dedicated Dragonsplague cure belong to the September 2 free update. The October 9 update added Hard Mode, retained-data restarting and Orienteer. Buying Norgan is a separate decision.

Is it the same as the 2013 Dark Arisen?
No. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen expands the first game; Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen expands the sequel.
Is official co-op supported?
No. Pawn sharing is asynchronous. DD2gether is a separate, unofficial alpha mod, not an official multiplayer edition.
Can I play the full game free in a browser?
No official browser edition is offered. The download page links official stores; the free Character Creator is a separate tool, not the full campaign.
How many vocations are there?
Ten. CAPCOM says Dark Arisen adds skills for existing vocations, not a new vocation.
Where should a new player start?
Choose an available vocation, build a balanced pawn party and use the walkthrough before advancing past major quest cutoffs.
