Dark Arisen release date, price, and platforms
Dark Arisen is already released. Steam US labels the expansion 8 October 2026; CAPCOM's worldwide launch post and Nintendo's US Switch 2 listing use 9 October 2026. The store and timezone context matters.
This guide covers the 2026 expansion for Dragon's Dogma 2. Compare it with the 2013 Dark Arisen game.

Who buys the expansion, and who buys the whole game
On PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S the expansion is a separate purchase if you already own Dragon's Dogma 2. Capcom's 9 June 2026 announcement, as recorded in the Steam news pull for this research, confirmed that split.
New Steam buyers can buy complete package 1686532 for $49.99. The base game and expansion separately total $69.98, so the package is $19.99 less and also contains the camping kit and music/sound collection. Already own the base game? The standalone expansion is $29.99.
Nintendo's Switch 2 product includes both game and expansion for $49.99. CAPCOM's June announcement also scheduled a permanent base-game price reduction and retirement of certain older DLC on 24 June PDT; an old Deluxe label is not the new complete edition.
Questions
Why do some pages say 9 October 2026?
CAPCOM's launch post and Nintendo's US product use 9 October, while Steam US appdetails uses 8 October. The difference is storefront launch-date labeling, not a second expansion.
Is the Deluxe Edition still for sale?
The current Steam options are the base game, standalone expansion and complete Dark Arisen package. A new buyer wanting both should compare the $49.99 complete package rather than buy the two main items separately for $69.98.
